ISO 31000 principles and components
Governance structures for risk management
Risk policy development and reporting mechanisms
Roles and responsibilities of risk owners
Integration of risk management into strategy, finance, and operations
Building accountability and escalation structures

3: Risk Identification and Qualitative Analysis

Risk identification techniques (brainstorming, PESTLE, SWOT, historical trend analysis)
Identifying financial exposure points and emerging risks
Opportunity management within the risk process
Probability and impact assessment
Developing and using risk matrices and heat maps
Evaluating existing control effectiveness

4: Quantitative Risk Analysis and Response Planning

Quantitative analysis techniques (Monte Carlo simulation, sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling)
Understanding Value at Risk (VaR) and its relevance
Data-driven decision-making for financial risk
Risk response strategies: avoid, transfer, mitigate, accept
Contingency and resource planning
Cost-benefit evaluation of mitigation measures

5: Implementation, Monitoring, and Continuous Improvement

Implementing and tracking risk mitigation actions
Establishing monitoring systems and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators)
Reporting protocols and escalation processes
