Definition and importance of M&E in humanitarian programs.
Key M&E principles and concepts.
M&E in the project lifecycle and its complementary roles.

3: M&E Frameworks in Humanitarian Programs

Conceptual Frameworks.
Results Frameworks.
Logical Framework Analysis (LFA).
Log Frame–Design of humanitarian projects using Log Frame.

4: M&E Humanitarian Program Indicators

Selection and metrics of indicators.
Linking indicators to results and creating an indicator matrix.
Tracking and monitoring indicators over time.

5: M&E Plans in Humanitarian Programs

The significance of an M&E plan and its components.
Documenting and using an M&E system within the M&E plan.

6: Data Management for M&E in Humanitarian Programs

Data sources: Information systems, surveys, participatory assessments.
Data collection methods and tools for humanitarian programs.
